From April 7-9, the USTA Tennis on Campus National Championships hosted 64 schools from across the country. Cal A fell just short against University of Virginia the winners of the tournament.
Two Cal teams traveled to Arizona for the Wildcat Winter Classic. Cal A fell just short against ASU A in the semifinals of the gold bracket. Cal B avenged the loss with a 7-0 run, including wins over the A teams of Colorado, Arizona, Stanford, and ASU to win the gold bracket. Thank you to University of Arizona for hosting us!
Cal comes out on top at the 2022 Sectional Championships! Cal A defeated Stanford A in the final to earn a spot at Nationals, with Cal B finishing as runner-up in gold bracket consolation, Cal C winning silver bracket, and Cal D winning silver bracket consolation. From April 7-9, the USTA Tennis on Campus National Championships hosted 64 schools from across the country in the first time the event had been run in 3 years. The Bears competed hard, defeating American, UT Dallas, Utah, Northwestern, Washington, and Florida, before falling to UCLA in the final.
Sectionals in 2021 saw a dominant showing by Cal as the tournament concluded with a Cal Gold vs. Cal Blue final. Thank you to Stanford for hosting! Next up, we'll head to Nationals to try for another title. Follow us in April to see how we do!

Over break, three Cal teams competed in the Wildcat Winter Classic in Tucson on January 18-19. A Team lost in the final to a strong ASU team, taking second place overall. B team battled to the quarterfinals and ultimately claimed fifth place, while C team won the silver bracket to finish ninth. Big thanks to U of A for putting on this great event and inviting us!
Over the weekend, club tennis seniors invited the alumni out to brunch in the city! It was awesome to see so many familiar faces and reminisce about all the matches we played, practices we attended, and moments we had. A successful fall season ends with a victory at the 2019 Sectional Championships! Cal Gold handedly defeated Stanford Cardinal to secure a spot to Nationals for another shot at the national title. Follow us in April to see how we do!
Cal Club Tennis sent three teams to Arizona to participate in the Wildcat Winter Classic on January 19-20. A Team lost a heartbreaker to a very good New Mexico team, and ended up taking first place in the silver bracket. C Team avenged A Team by taking out New Mexico and finishing third overall, while B Team took out ASU in an extremely close final to win the championship. Congratulations to everyone who came and played some good tennis in the desert!
An undefeated fall season ends with a Cal-Cal final at Sectionals! Cal Gold narrowly edged Cal Blue in the final to win the championship, while Cal White took 4th and Cal Gray took 7/8th.
